GCS Drive Explorer โ€” Privacy Policy

Last updated: 23 August 2026

GCS Drive Explorer has no backend. Javis Network Technology Limited operates no server for this app, receives no data from it, and has no access to your files or your storage credentials.

What the app connects to

The app connects only to the Google Cloud Storage bucket you configure yourself, using the GCS XML API's S3-compatible interface and an Interoperability access key you generate in Google Cloud Console. There is no default endpoint and no intermediary server. All connections use HTTPS; the app refuses to use an endpoint that is not HTTPS.

What is stored on your device

None of this leaves your device, except the file contents and object keys you explicitly upload, which go directly to the bucket you configured.

What is not collected

No analytics. No crash reporting. No advertising identifiers. No accounts. No tracking of any kind. The app contains no third-party SDKs.

Encrypted settings export

If you export your connection settings, the resulting .driveconfig file is encrypted with a password you choose, using PBKDF2-HMAC-SHA256 (600,000 iterations) and AES-256-GCM. The file is written wherever you choose to save it. The app does not upload it anywhere.

Deleting your data

Removing a connection deletes its stored credentials from the Keychain. Deleting the app removes all local data, including the transfer database and the activity log. Objects you have already uploaded to your own bucket are not affected โ€” manage those through Google Cloud Console, or through the app's Browse tab.

Children

The app is not directed at children and collects no personal data.
