S3 Drive Explorer has no backend. Javis Network Technology Limited operates no server for this app, receives no data from it, and has no access to your files or your storage credentials.
The app connects only to the S3-compatible endpoint you enter yourself — for example Amazon S3, Backblaze B2, Cloudflare R2, MinIO or Wasabi. There is no default endpoint and no intermediary server. All connections use HTTPS; the app refuses to use an endpoint that is not HTTPS.
| Access credentials | Your access key ID and secret access key are stored in the iOS Keychain, in a shared access group used by the app and its share extension. They are marked AfterFirstUnlockThisDeviceOnly and are not synchronised to iCloud or to any other device. |
|---|---|
| Connection profiles | Endpoint, region, bucket name and per-connection settings, kept in the app's own container. |
| Transfer records | A local database of uploads and downloads, including object keys, sizes and progress. |
| Activity log | A local diagnostic log, capped at 5 MB, kept in the app's own container. |
| Staged files | While an upload is in progress the app keeps a copy of the file in its own container, and deletes that copy once the upload has completed and been verified against the server. |
None of this leaves your device, except the file contents and object keys you explicitly upload, which go directly to the endpoint you configured.
No analytics. No crash reporting. No advertising identifiers. No accounts. No tracking of any kind. The app contains no third-party SDKs.
If you export your connection settings, the resulting .driveconfig file is
encrypted with a password you choose, using PBKDF2-HMAC-SHA256 (600,000 iterations) and
AES-256-GCM. The file is written wherever you choose to save it. The app does not upload it
anywhere.
Removing a connection deletes its stored credentials from the Keychain. Deleting the app removes all local data, including the transfer database and the activity log. Objects you have already uploaded to your own storage are not affected — manage those through your storage provider, or through the app's Browse tab.
The app is not directed at children and collects no personal data.
